Can the ASI manufactured Sickle Cell Test be used for testing children?

YES. The ASI Sickle Cell Test can be used to test children 3 months old and up. It is not recommended for use on newborns or infants younger than 3 months because they may have low levels of (Hb-S), sickle cell disease, not detectable by this method.
